Thanks again Andrei zonk and Tony nefarious for your unselfish and very hard work. Ilene and I will think of you guys every time we feel warmth this winter from the wood stove we use for heating our home.

    Good Wood?

    Is that for your fireplace?

our primary heat source for our home is our wood stove. ‘designed it and then redesigned it and had it modified for maximum efficiency so it burns very clean and gives magnitudes more heat than a fireplace or typical wood stove. When its burning, it also heats the water in the hot water tank. Our main source of heating here is electric and although we have so much hydroelectricity in Washington, a large state on the south Pacific coast buys our power much cheaper than our local electric company does so it’s cost prohibitive for me to heat with electricity. I love the crackling fire and the feeling of pioneering that burning wood gives… Unfortunately, this year I was incapable of cutting and splitting my own wood and a couple angels came to my aid.

    Peace

Oh, that sounds just charming. I lived in a house that had a pot belly wood burning stove…I LOVED it. The whole top floor of the house got nice an toasty…and we would put a teakettle of water on the top for humidity. It also was used to cook…..there is nothing yummier than a sweet potato just thrown into the chamber and roasted that way….no need for butter or anything.
